Student’s tragic death after night out with businessman in Nakuru

Nakuru police have launched an investigation into the death of a 22-year-old student who was in the company of a local businessman following a drinking spree in the city.

Eileen Cherotich, a student at RVIST National Polytechnic, was last seen boarding the businessman’s vehicle on Saturday evening.

Her lifeless body was discovered along the highway on Sunday morning.

Nakuru West Sub-County DCIO Charles Kamau stated that it is suspected Cherotich either jumped or was thrown from the vehicle while it was moving at high speed, causing the fatal injuries.

In response to the incident, angry students destroyed property belonging to the businessman, who has since been arrested along with two other suspects.

Police are also searching for three additional suspects who were in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
