Keiyo North Member Parliament Adams Kipsanai in Elgeyo Marakwet County has held an emergency meeting with various education stakeholders at Kapkesum and Bugar Secondary Schools following a surge in the number of students recording poor performance in the national KCSE examination.

This comes at a time when 23 students from Bugar Secondary School scored Grade E, a situation that has outraged local leaders who are calling for immediate action.

The leaders emphasized the need for all education stakeholders to join hands to improve the quality of education in the area.

This move has been supported by Kapchemutwa Ward Representative Stephen Kemboi, who stated that they will continue implementing strategies to uplift the education sector.

On his part, Keiyo North Deputy County Commissioner Julius Maiyo issued a strong warning to students involved in bodaboda business, timber cutting, and gambling, stating that they along with their parents will face strict legal action.
