Kenya Broadcasting Corporation Managing Director Agness Nguna has extended special wishes to China Media Group and the Chinese people ahead of the Spring Festival celebrations.

In her message to Minister Shen Haixiong, President of China Media Group, Nguna noted that the festival, also known as the Lunar New Year, is not only a significant cultural event but also a time for renewal, joy, and unity.

“The Spring Festival is a momentous occasion that celebrates not only the rich cultural heritage of China but also the values of togetherness and hope for a prosperous future,” she stated.

Similar to previous years, the Chinese community in Kenya has organized celebrations to commemorate the occasion.

“It is my honor to participate in the upcoming celebratory event in Nairobi, and I am confident it will be a reflection of the deepening ties between our organizations and our nations,” added the KBC boss.

Nguna told Shen that KBC recognizes and greatly values its longstanding collaboration with China Media Group (CMG).

“Your visionary leadership has been instrumental in fostering strong bonds of mutual understanding and cooperation between our organizations,” she remarked.

At a time CMG continues to innovate and expand its global reach, the Managing Director expressed her anticipation of further strengthening the partnership between CMG and KBC for the benefit of audiences in both Kenya and China.

“May this Spring Festival bring happiness, good health, and success to you and your team at CMG, and may the year ahead be filled with even greater accomplishments for all of us,” she stated

For the Chinese, the Spring Festival is a time for family reunions, traditional celebrations, and cultural festivities. It features customs such as family dinners, fireworks, and various performances that highlight China’s rich heritage.
