21-time Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia FC have announced the appointment of Croat Sinisa Mihic as the club’s new head coach.
The 48-year-old Mihic with a UEFA Pro license will be assisted by former player Zedekiah Zico Otieno, who has been the interim coach since last November, and Michael Nam.
Before his appointment to lead K’ogalo, Mihic has coached several clubs, among them ZK Crikvenica, which competes in the Croatian Division Two, Kuwait’s’ Al Fahaheel, Al Shabaab FC, and Al Ahli Saudi FC, both from Saudi Arabia.
The Croat tactician has also served as assistant head coach for Libya’s Al Nasar FC and Al Merrikh SC in Sudan.
The coach faces an uphill task in guiding the Green Army to defend the FKFPL title, lying 3rd on the table with 31 points after 18 matches, 6 points adrift of the joint leaders, PolICE FC and Tusker FC.
Mihic is the 7th foreign coach for Gor since 2020.
