CBIT to manage PR activities for RLSD Africa Design Showcase 2024

The Center for Business Innovations and Training (CBIT) has been officially appointed to manage the Public Relations activities for the highly anticipated Real Leather. Stay Different. (RLSD) Africa Design Showcase 2024.

The showcase by the Leather and Hide Council of America, Africa Leather and Leather Products Institute, and coordinated in Africa by the Center for Business Innovation and Training targets to bridge traditional craftsmanship with modern sustainable practices, transforming the continent’s fashion scene.

According to CBIT, the selection to handle the event’s PR activities aligns with its own goals of fostering innovation and training in the leather sector, making this collaboration a powerful catalyst for change.

“This strategic alliance marks a significant milestone for CBIT, showcasing its comprehensive expertise and reinforcing its commitment to expanding its influence within the African leather industry. It heralds a new era of innovation, sustainability, and global recognition for African craftsmanship,” said CBIT.

CBIT says it will actively shape the narrative around Africa’s burgeoning leather sector, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and the global relevance of African design. This strategic approach aims to draw attention to the continent’s potential to lead the fashion industry towards a greener, more ethical future.

The 4th edition of the showcase as extended an open invitation to Africa’s most creative talents, designers, students, artisans, and businesses to engage with leather in innovative and eco-friendly ways.

“The Real Leather. Stay Different. Africa’s Talent Leather Design Showcase 2024 is more than a competition; it’s a movement towards sustainability. We work to inspire designers to envision a future where fashion and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. With categories spanning apparel, accessories and footwear, we’re setting the stage for innovation, originality, and breathtaking design that celebrates leather’s enduring beauty and versatility,” stated Kerry Brozyna, President of L&HCA.

By providing a platform for African talent to gain international recognition, the RLSD Africa Design Showcase 2024 and CBIT aim to set new standards for sustainability and creativity.

Winners of the competition will have opportunities to develop their designs in professional studios, feature in prestigious showcases, and present their work in Europe.
