Renowned media personality and social activist Adelle Onyango has announced the release of her debut film, “Home”, set to premiere on February 21 at Shalom House Gardens.
The short poetry film delves into the journey of an African woman rediscovering and reclaiming her body.
Sharing the news with her followers, Adelle expressed her excitement about the project, describing it as deeply personal and meaningful.
“To be able to share my poetry with you through this film is just so special to me!” she remarked.
The film, which she began shooting in 2024, was an immersive experience for her. At the time, she described the process as transformative.
“It was a life-changing experience seeing my poetry come to life on screen, working with actors, and even an animal! A week of early mornings and late nights that I absolutely loved!” she shared at the time.
Adelle Onyango has long been known for using her voice to champion social causes, like through her syndicated podcast ‘Legally Clueless’. “Home” marks her entry into the world of film as a medium for storytelling and advocacy.
In addition to launching her first film, Ms Onyango is expected to sit in on a discussion panel at the Kitale Film Festival.
