Presenter Phyline Jean continues to shine after securing a nomination for Best Young Achiever TV Personality at the prestigious Young Achievers Africa Awards.
The awards recognise outstanding contributions and achievements made by young individuals.
Voting for the award is currently open and will run until April 25, giving fans and supporters an opportunity to rally behind their favourite nominees.
Phyline Jean, who has been in the industry for eight years, has become a household name among young audiences, thanks to her engaging and authentic style of presenting.
Speaking in a past interview with KBC Digital, she credited her success to dedication, passion, and staying true to herself.
“I can’t even say that I’m better than other people, I think it’s just God’s grace and the fact that I’m always myself. When hosting my shows, I give it my all,” she shared.
This is not the first time Phyline has been nominated.
In 2023, she received nominations at South Africa’s Shining Stars Awards in the categories of Best Female TV Personality of the Year and Best Media Personality of the Year.
She was also nominated for Best Dressed Media Personality and Best Female TV Personality at the Zikomo Awards in Zambia in 2022.
Speaking on the phone with KBC Digital on Friday, she said she was humbled by the nomination.
“It feels so good to be recognised for the work I put in, not just in Kenya but across Africa. I want anyone who supports me to know that their support means everything to me,” she said.
Adding, “Being nominated four times as the Best TV personality is an incredible honour but beyond awards, it’s the connection with my audience that truly matters. Knowing I inspire others is humbling and it pushes me to keep growing, learning and showing up as my authentic self.”
Other Kenyans nominated for the award include Eric Omondi for Humanitarian of the Year, Faith Kipyegon for Sportswoman of the Year, Amber Ray for Beauty Queen in Action and Bradley Marongo for Best Content Creator to mention a few.
