WIFA honours women in film

The sixth edition of the Women in Film Awards took place on Sunday at the Kenya National Theatre to honour the contributions of women in film.

Among this year’s winners are Sanaipei Tande, who won an award for Best Actress in Film, content creator Celestine Ndinda, who won an award for Best Digital Content Creator and Ella Imani, who won the Best Child Actress award.

The awards are aimed at bringing women filmmakers in Kenya together to provide a space where the diversity of women’s voices, stories and creativity is equally recognised and celebrated.
