National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula has welcomed the decision by Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Leader Raila Odinga to cease anti-government protests to give dialogue a chance.
Wetangula who was in Bungoma County expressed support for the bipartisan talks slated for Monday saying it was the only way to resolve issues considered pertinent as opposed to the street protests.
The speaker implored Kenyans to exercise patience and afford the President time to implement his plans for the country while also urging leaders to prioritize harmonious coexistence among the citizens.
His sentiments were backed by Machakos deputy governor Francis Mwangangi who however urged the bipartisan talks committee to advocate for the Ward Development Fund along with the National Government Constituent Development Fund.
