The Under Our Skin Film Festival is set to return for its fourth edition at Unseen Nairobi running from November 6 to November 15 with complimentary entry for all attendees.
This year’s festival will feature over 20 films and short films from diverse countries around the world, each intended to spark interactive discussions on pressing human rights issues.
The Under Our Skin festival is part of the larger International Festival on Human Rights which aims to inspire positive social and political change through the powerful medium of film.
Each edition centres on a specific theme tied to global human rights topics. This year’s program focuses on three key themes: Expression as a Right, Social Contract Redefined, and Injustice by Design.
These themes will guide the open interactive sessions held throughout the festival.
In addition to the annual festival, Under Our Skin hosts monthly screenings in collaboration with educational institutions, rural communities, and other grass-roots organisations, furthering its mission to elevate human rights discourse across diverse platforms.
