The organisers of the Magical Kenya Open have announced that two extra slots have been allocated to local professionals. This was revealed during a fund raising auction held on Tuesday night for Kenyan golfers who will compete at the DP World Tour Event.
With a week to go to the Magical Kenya Open that will be played at the Par 71 Muthaiga Golf Club, the 16 local golfers comprising 10 professionals and 6 amateurs received 3.32 million shillings in kit and equipment sponsorship.
The funds were raised at an auction held on Tuesday night at the Golf Park in Nairobi and organized by the Kenya Vision 2030 Secretariat….
Meanwhile the DP World Tour event received a boost of 40 million shillings from Kenya Breweries Limited through their Johnnie Walker Brand.
The Magical Kenya Open takes place from the 20th to 23rd of February with a prize fund of 320 million shillings..
