Netflix has released the highly anticipated trailer for the final season of “The Umbrella Academy.”

The upcoming season promises to wrap up the eclectic and often chaotic journeys of the Hargreeves siblings, bringing closure to the series that has captivated audiences since its debut in 2019.

What to expect

The trailer opens with the unfamiliar subdued energy not usual with “The Umbrella Academy”, just a walk through the old Hargreeves homes and a quick glimpse at the seven.

It quickly reintroduces viewers to the seven Hargreeves siblings, who were adopted by the eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves and trained to save the world.

The siblings—Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Five, Ben, and Viktor—live separate and mundane lives since resetting the world and inadvertently losing their powers.

As the trailer unfolds, we get a quick family reunion, as the siblings head off to save an undisclosed someone.

This doesn’t last long as they end up in another timeline, this time coming face to face with a version of themselves with powers and chaos ensues, as it usually does when the Hargreeves’ siblings are involved.

The season finale

“The Umbrella Academy,” based on the comic book series by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, has garnered a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim for its inventive storytelling, rich character development, and unique visual style.

Over the past three seasons, the show has explored themes of family, identity, and destiny, all while delivering jaw-dropping twists and turns.

In the previous season, the siblings had just defeated an alternate version of their father, who they discovered was an alien, before being transported back to their world with no powers. They were all excited to return to their lives except Luther, who found they had returned to a world without Sloane, whom he had just married.

The final teaser ends with a montage of what’s to come — including epic fight scenes, flying aircraft, colourful ball playpens, and more!

The fourth and final season of “The Umbrella Academy” premieres globally on Netflix on Aug. 8.
