A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) company, Fohow, held celebrations to mark its first anniversary in Kenya and announced plans to expand the use of natural medicate in the country.
During the event, Fohow actively engaged with local traditional medicine practitioners, facilitating a valuable exchange of best practices between TCM and local herbal medicine. This collaboration aims to bridge cultural and medical knowledge, ensuring a holistic health approach that combines the strengths of both traditions.
The milestone celebration took place at County Hall in Nairobi and brought together stakeholders, partners, and enthusiasts of natural health and wellness.
The anniversary highlighted network marketing as a viable option for individuals to create wealth and establish sustainable businesses from home.
Peter Liu, Fohow Group Africa Manager, said the company is committed to health and entrepreneurship, Fohow has made significant strides in empowering local communities across Kenya.
“We had a grand opening of our company last year in Kenya and we now have over 50,000 members in the country and our products have become so popular in Kenya. We would like to introduce more members of the public and bring health and wealth to them,” said Liu
“Our products have been certified by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. What we use to produce them are organic natural ingredients and have no side effects,” he added
The Fohow Kenya team has distinguished itself by venturing into villages, educating locals about the benefits of TCM, and teaching them how to market and sell Fohow’s natural products effectively. Their strategy not only promotes health but also provides financial opportunities to underprivileged communities.
The company says the theme “A Year of Gratitude” reflects a celebration of achievements, resilience, and community impact, symbolizing appreciation for the partners and local communities that have embraced Fohow’s mission of mutual prosperity.
“We believe Kenya also has traditional herbs which can be used in developing our medicinal products. We are looking at importing some raw materials from Kenya to China in the spirit of Belt and Road Initiative. This will support the Kenyan business people,” Liu disclosed
During the event, Vice President Jiao Peng emphasized how Fohow’s adoption of Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) empowers partners to achieve health and wealth. He elaborated on how this approach integrates TCM principles with sustainable business opportunities, allowing individuals to build networks that promote natural health products while fostering financial independence.
“Kenya is promising when you look into the future. We think that it is the best place to put up a factory here in East Africa. After we have completed our research we shall recommend Kenya as a place to have Fohow factory,” he said
