Sputnik Africa launches broadcast on FM waves in Botswana

In December 2024, Sputnik radio broadcast network expanded to the capital of Nigeria, Abuja, and its second-largest city, Kano, where English-language broadcasts are available on 105.9 FM in Abuja, and on 104.1 FM in Kano.

Sputnik Africa continues the extension of its broadcasting network in Africa. From now on, Sputnik Africa programs in English are available throughout Botswana on GABZ FM, one of the country’s most popular radio stations.

With the addition of Botswana, Sputnik Africa programs  are broadcast daily on the FM frequencies in Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon and Guinea.

Earlier in September, Sputnik Africa won a prize at the African Union of Broadcasting’s 15th General Assembly in Botswana. The news agency placed third in the competition for the title of “Best radio magazine” about Africa.
