Leopards are set for a major showdown against K'Ogalo on Sunday

AFC Leopards edged Kenya Police 1-0 in their FKF Premier League midweek fixture at Nyayo Stadium to claim their third win in a row and a big boost heading into the Mashemeji Derby on Sunday.

Ojo Olaniyi scored the winning goal in the 71st minute.

“For the first time I have seen the best football played in the Kenyan Premier League,” said AFC Leopards coach Patrick Aussems.

The Belgium tactician appealed to Ingwe fans to turn up in large numbers to cheer his team on Sunday during the Mashemeji derby against Gor Mahia.

Elsewhere, Posta Rangers held KCB to a 1-1 draw at Kasarani Annex.

Michael Apudo opened the scores for the postmen through a penalty in the 7th minute. The Bankers equalized in the 75 the minute also through a Jessy Maurice penalty.

Also at Kasarani, Kariobangi Sharks claimed their second win in a row beating Bandari 1-0 at in the MISC Kasarani. Nzoia Sugar also returned to winning ways at Sudi Stadium dispatching Vihiga Bullets 2-0.

Kakamega Homeboyz drew 1-1 with Sofapaka at the Bukhungu Stadium.

Former champions Mathare United recorded its first victory of the season with a convincing 3-1 win over Bidco United at Utalii grounds in Nairobi.
