Kahawa Wendani  All Stars and Eastleigh South  United  booked their place in the quarter finals of the ongoing Koth Biro soccer tournament after winning their respective round of 16 matches played Saturday at Umeme Grounds,Ziwani, Nairobi.

Kahawa Wendani Alll Stars registred a narrow 2-1 win against Zimma Man All Stars to book their place in the quarter finals of this years Koth Biro tournament in a closely fought encounter.

Edwin Maina gave Kahawa the lead in the 47th minute before Harry Omusisi doubled their advantage with 13 minutes to go.

Zima man pulled one back in the 82nd minute through Douglas Nyaosi. In an Earlier encounter Eastleigh South United emerged with a 2-0 victory against Isinya United from Kajiado County.

Henrich Kuke and Mark Wekesa were on the mark for Eastleigh who set up a quarter final date with Kahawa Wendani All Stars.

The tournament which attracted a total of 50  team is expected to enter the quarter final stage next week even as organisers pleaded for financial support from well wishers.

 The annual, off season soccer tournament seeks to offer a platform to upcoming footballers to showcase their talent.

The round of 16 matches continue on Sunday at Umeme where Amazon Tigers will square it out with Team Korogez while Kingstone,2019 champions will play Shalom FC.
