Boxing: Veronica Mbithe stopped by Valencia Victoria at Women’s World Championship

Kenya’s Veronica Mbithe lost her light fly weight bout to Colombia’s Valencia Victoria in the ongoing World Women’s Boxing Championship in New Delhi,India.
Swedish Referee Swedish Onem Cem saved Mbithe in the second round stopping the contest one minute and fifteen seconds into the fight.
The elimination of Mbithe brings to eight the number of Kenyan boxers who have been dumped out of the world championship.
However Kenya has two boxers to the round of 16 after minimum weight prospect Christine Ongare and captain and light heavy weight boxer Elizabeth Andiego secured the pre-quarter final tickets.
