Show in honour of Fred Omondi to take place Friday

Kenyan comedians will take the stage on June 21 at the Carnivore Simba Salon to honour the late comedian Fred Omondi.

According to the police, Mr Omondi died at the scene of an accident that occurred near the Caltex Petrol station along Kangundo Road when a bodaboda carrying him collided head-on with a speeding bus.

Mr Omondi died at the scene.

“This Friday, let’s do it for Freddy like never before. We shall all be there,” comedian Churchill, who announced the news, said.

The show dubbed “Fred Omondi, Last Laugh – All Stars” will feature a number of Kenyan comedians including Jalang’o, Terence Creative, Mammito, Noriega, Oga Obinna, Eddie Buttita and more.

The 12-member committee organising the late comedian’s send-off has said that contributions will go towards the burial set to take place in Sega, Siaya county on June 29.

Tickets cost KSh. 1,000.
