The murder case of the late Sharon Otieno will proceed today (Monday).
Former Migori Governor Okoth Obado alongside his aides, Micheal Oyamo, and Caspal Obiero have been charged in the murder of the former Rongo University student.
Last week, chief witness in the murder of Sharon told the court that the former Migori boss did not deny having a relationship with her and that he only complained of the high lifestyle the deceased was demanding from him.
The court heard that the late Sharon Otieno demanded to be recognized as the second wife of former Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s and insisted on living the standards of a Governor’s wife.
The court heard that the Governor refused to give in to Sharon’s demands.
During the cross-examination on Okoth Obado’s murder case, the defence lawyers argued that the former Governor did not have a motive to kill the late Sharon Otieno since he had already agreed to cater for her.
The chief witness Lawrence Mula was put to task to explain why he doubted whether Obado had given his personal assistant Michael Oyamo Ksh 200,000 to give Sharon Otieno.
