Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has this evening directed the exemption of all statutory fees for Urban Planning approvals of repairs and renovations of flood-related destruction to buildings.

In a memo by Acting Secretary Nairobi County Patrick Analo, Governor Sakaja directed that City Hall exempts all statutory fees on all renovation and repair works applied to the county due to the effects of the raging floods experienced in the county.

“Note that those who apply  must provide evidence of impact by the floods, which should be attached to the application before processing renovations/repairs permit.” Confirmed Analo
