A family in Rumuruti is mourning the deaths of two members after they were attacked with pangas by unknown assailants.
The victims identified as Tabitha Wanjiku Njogu and Jeremiah Maina who are first cousins were on their way home from a night Kesha at Rumuruti Full Gospel Church, when they met their deaths.
They had deep cuts on their heads, face, slit throats and were profusely bleeding which led to their quick deaths.
The two bodies were found scattered in the morning next to Rumuruti Sub-County Hospital by passersby who alerted the public and the Administration police.
The Motive to this henious act was not established but the DCI officers have launched investigation, residents lamenting there has been rise in cases of people being attacked in various estates in Rumuruti town and it’s environs.
