Sports Principal Secretary Engineer Peter Tum has exuded confidence that Nyayo Stadium will be given a clean bill of health to host international matches in a month’s time when the renovations are complete.
The PS was speaking today when he inspected the renovation progress for both Nyayo and Kasarani staduims.
The refurbishment works at the Nyayo National Stadium will touch on the media center, commentary booths and the canopy.

The refurbishment of the stadium is being undertaken by China Road and Bridge Corporation who are also charged with constructing four training venues and two stadia in readiness for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations which Kenya will co-host with Uganda and Tanzania.
Kenya is also set to host the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) on a yet-to-be-announced date by CAF.
