Raila formally unveils African Union Chairmanship bid

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has officially launched his bid to become the next Africa Union Commission chair, in an event held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Raila reiterated that having served as Africa union envoy on infrastructure he is best suited to solve challenges the continent faces should he ascend to the commissions chairmanship.

Raila also outlined his economic transformation vision, youth empowerment, elimination of transport barriers, boosting of energy production and promoting a unified Africa.

Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi is leading a Kenyan delegation in championing Raila’s vision.
