Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration, Dr. Raymond Omollo, led an inspection tour in Kuria East Sub-county, Migori County, to assess the progress of key national government development projects.

During the visit, Dr. Omollo evaluated the Kegonga Cluster Water and Sanitation Project in Nyamache, which aims to provide clean and reliable water to local communities.

Infrastructure development was a major focus, with significant progress noted on the Taranganya-Senta-Ntimaru-Nyamtiro OSBP-Kegonga-Kugitimo-Loliondo B1 Road, a crucial transport corridor set to enhance connectivity and boost trade.

Additionally, the construction and tarmacking of the JNC Stage at Kebarishia will further improve mobility and access for residents.

A key highlight of the visit was the commissioning and handover of the completed Kebaroti Water Supply Project at Kebaroti Secondary School.

The project, implemented in partnership with the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA), marks a significant step in improving water access in the region.

Dr. Omollo was accompanied by Migori Governor Hon. Ochilo Ayacko, Senator Hon. Eddy Oketch, MPs Hon. Peter Masara (Suna West) and Hon. Kitayama Maisori (Kuria East), LBDA Managing Director Wycliffe Ochiaga, and other regional leaders.

These projects reaffirm the national government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure, expanding water access, and driving sustainable development in Kuria East.
