Environment and Climate Change Principal Secretary Dr. Eng. Festus Ng’eno is attending the 2024 High-Level Ministerial Dialogue on the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG) at Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, Azerbaijan.

NCQG is a new annual financial target that developed countries must meet from 2025 onward to provide climate finance to developing countries.

The PS is representing Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale at the meeting.

It replaces the previous commitment of USD 100 billion per year that developed nations had pledged in 2009 but failed to deliver.
