All is set for President Ruto’s tour of Western Kenya

It has been a busy week for President Ruto

President William Ruto Saturday kicks off his development tour of Western Kenya.

The President is scheduled to launch a Ksh2 billion water project in Malava constituency in Kakamega county before proceeding on his visit to the region.

Local leaders led by Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa who have pledged support for Ruto’s broad-based government are upbeat saying that the region stands to benefit from various development projects.

Speaking ahead of the visit, the leaders termed the water project a large milestone.

“Kakamega County is solidly behind Present William Ruto’s broad-based government and we welcome him this Saturday as he launches a Sh2B water project in Malava Constituency in line with my pillar of water at the doorstep,” said Barasa.

Busy Diary

Since the formation of the broad-based government President Ruto has toured various regions including Embu, Murang’a, and Kisii.

He wrapped up his three-day working tour of the Gusii region on Wednesday. On Thursday he presided over the conferment of the city status to Eldoret municipality Thursday.

Residents have been urged to come out in large numbers to receive the head of state who will be accompanied by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and a host of leaders.
