Machakos Women Rep Joyce Kamene Kasimbi and her Kwale counterpart Fatuma Masito have asked President William Ruto to shelve aside for a while his concentration on development projects and instead focus on ending the ongoing doctors’ strike.
Speaking in Ndithini Masinga Sub-County during a graduation ceremony, the female legislators castigated the president for putting much focus on housing projects while disregarding the cry of doctors
They have pleaded with the government to have a human heart towards the suffering of patients across the country that are unable to access medical care due to the medics strike that is almost clocking a month now.
Kwale women Rep Fatuma Masito besieged the Head of State to constitute a delegation that will strike a deal with doctors to end the stalemate.
On her part, Kasimbi said the doctors’ grievances were genuine, and they needed to be keenly looked into.
