Football Kenya Federation has launched investigations into match fixing allegations against Kakamega Homeboyz Goalkeeper Patrick Matasi.
In a video widely circulated on social media on Thursday Matasi is perceived to be in a conversation with individuals seemingly keen on manipulating a match.
FKF in a communique sent to newsrooms said they have began investigations in collaboration with the World Soccer governing body FIFA and the Confederation of African Football CAF in conjunction with Kenyan authorities.
FKF promises to take appropriate action once the findings are out and called for anyone with information to assist with the investigation.
37 year old Patrick Matasi began his football career with the defunct West Kenya Sugar before playing for several Kenya premier league clubs including AFC Leopards,Posta Rangers,Tusker FC and Ethiopia’s St.Georges.
He recently joined Kakamega Homeboyz from Kenya Police FC and has featured for the National soccer team Harambee Stars 31 times.
