The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is Friday set to celebrate its 20th anniversary at Bukiri Primary School in Funyula, Busia County.

Raila Odinga, who has been holding consultations following his unsuccessful bid for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairmanship, is expected to use the occasion to outline his political plans.

“This is a consultative mission to talk to our people after what happened in Addis Ababa,” Raila said while hinting at potential realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.

On Thursday Raila held a meeting in Migori where he was accompanied by ODM Youth League and political activist Kasmuel McOure.

Sources indicate that ODM’s central management committee has endorsed Raila to retain his position as party leader.

Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has been acting in the role for the past year while Odinga pursued the AUC bid.
