Several celebrities were spotted in the streets of Nairobi on Thursday as day 2 of demonstrations against the Finance Bill 2024 in Nairobi continued.
Among them were film director Philip Karanja who showed off his funny placard on Instagram. It was soon reshared by his ex-wife Kate Kamau on X.

Following mounting pressure from fans and Kenyans online support the initiative, Ms Kamau was also spotted walking alongside fellow Kenyans as they walked towards parliament.
Protesters were also happy to be joined by rapper Nyashinski, Abel Mutua, Grauchi, Dennis Ombachi, Blinky Bill, Azziad Nasemenya, Breeder LW, Flaqo, Nadia Mukami and Terence Creative to mention a few.
Musicians Arrow Boy and Collo were spotted singing on the streets with protesters.
This is Arrow Boy’s second protest. He was spotted with partner and fellow musician Nadia Mukami on Tuesday, June 18.The two were dancing and singing along with their fellow Kenyans as the demonstrations continued to gain traction.
Comedian Mulamwah was spotted feeding protesters tea and mandazi in the street. After galvanising a small crowd along Kenyatta Avenue, he urged protesters not to surrender.

Rapper Octopizzo also joined the ongoing protests against the Finance Bill 2024 in the afternoon.
The “No Signal” rapper was welcomed with cheers from fellow protesters who have been picketing since Tuesday.
The protests which have largely been organised by the youth of Kenya, have spread to several town in the country including Kisumu, Nakuru, Kilifi, Eldoret, Nyeri to mention a few.
Popularly known as Don Papichulo to his fans has voiced his support consistently online.
On Wednesday he said, “This regime forgot this is a leap year, We Got Extra Dayz & we are Jobless we can do this all through the year, Hamtapenda!! (sic)”.

Despite today’s enthusiasm, the bill was passed by 204 against 115.
