Newly promoted Football Kenya Federation Women’s Premier League,FKF-WPL, side KISPED FC had a rude welcome to the top flight after going down by 3-0 to defending champions Kenya Police Bullets FC at Police Sacco Stadium.

Six matches played across the country this weekend signalled the beginning of the new 2024/25 season.

Police after as eries of attacks broke the deadlock in the 39th minute through Lydia Akoth.Rebbeca Okwaro scored a brace to complete the rout for Police Bullets.Okwaro’s second was long range effort that caught KISPED defence off guard.

KISPED assistant coach Leah Sakwa say they will bounce back and will soon get the groove in the top tier.

Being beaten three nil is not a big deal that our first match,they are ok because its their first time in the premier league but in the remaining matches things will work out’’Sakwa remarked.

Lydia Akoth,forefront, scored the opener for Police Bullets.

Police will be out to ride on the empatic opening wins in its forthcoming fixture.’’it’s a good beginning for Kenya Police bullets but also KISPED gave us a challenge.we will do our best to prepare the team and we are hoping to do better than what we did last season’’ Kenya Police Bullets assistant coach Habib Hussein said.
