Anti-Corruption Court sitting in Milimani has allowed the an application by the Director of Public Prosecutions to withdraw charges against former National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) Chief Executive Office Geoffrey Mwangi.
Mwangi was facing charges over alleged loss of Ksh. 1.1 billion during his tenure.
Magistrate Victor Wakhumile says there was sufficient grounds given to allow the case against the second accused person to be withdrawn.
The prosecution has been given 15 days to review the entire file and come up with the way forward.
Surety for second accused person will be given back after the court consented to the application.
