Information, Communications and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo and United States Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman Thursday held discussions on a range of issues of mutual benefit to both countries.

Issues discussed when Ambassador Whitman paid the CS a courtesy call are those that touch on ICT and the Broadcast and Telecommunications sectors.

Owalo has since taking over the reins of power at the ministry undertaken to establish a single digital identity, oversee digitization of government services and processes and automation of performance management systems in the country.

He says creating a conducive ecosystem for innovation is key in driving technological advancement in the country.
