Two people have died on the spot while four others have been left with serious injuries after an accident happened in Kimende, Lari Constituency, Kiambu County.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened after a Nissan Patrol tried to overtake other vehicles leading to a collision with a truck which was headed to Nairobi from Nakuru.

The two people in the private vehicle succumbed while four others including the driver of the truck were left with serious injuries.

The injured have been taken to Kijabe Mission Hospital while the deceased were taken to Uplands Mortuary.

The residents are now urging drivers to be careful on the road in order to reduce accidents, especially in this area, seeing that it is not the first accident to happen in that place.
