The National Prayer Day will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2023, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced.
Speaking at his Harambee House Annex Office on Wednesday after meeting Governors from the Rift Valley Region, the Deputy President revealed that the prayers will be graced by President William Ruto and attended by Kenyans from across the country.
“The National Prayers, which will be graced by our President William Ruto and attended by Kenyans from across the country, will be a thanksgiving to God for a peaceful election and smooth transition. Religious leaders will also lead the nation in praying for rains,” said DP Gachagua.
He said the Prayers will be offered for a fast economic recovery as well as saving our youth from illicit brews and drug abuse.
He further noted that the clergy will also pray for the healing of the nation, from the scourge of cancer, and for peace and security for all communities to live together in harmony.
