44 people have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample size of 661 tested in the last 24 hours pushing total confirmed positive cases to 341,977.
Out of the new cases, 23 are male while 21 are female with the youngest being 3 years while the oldest is 82 years old.
The cumulative tests so far conducted standing at 3,946,234.
In terms of County distribution, 17 of the cases are from Nairobi, Trans Nzoia 9, Siaya 7, Nakuru 6, Kisumu 3 while Nyeri has 2 cases each.
Distribution of positive cases by age is as follows; 0-9 years (2), 10-19 years (1), 20-29 years (12), 30-39 (9), 40-49 (5) 50-59 (6), 60 years and above (9).
42 patients have recovered from the disease, all from the Home based Care and Isolation program.
This pushes the total recoveries to 335,740 of whom 282,051 are from the HomeBased Care and Isolation program, while 53,689 are from various health facilities across the country.
No fatalities were recorded during the period under review so the cumulative fatalities remain at 5,684.
Cumulative deaths by age remain; 0-9 years (62), 10-19 years (44), 20-29 (152), 30-39 years (415), 40-49 years (654), 50-59 years (1,032), 60 years and above (3,325).
There are 30 patients currently admitted in the health facilities, while 523 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
One other patient is on supplemental oxygen, and is in the General ward.
Covid-19 vaccination
As of December 6th 2022, a total of 22,993,509 vaccines have been administered across the country.
Of these, 18,416,378 are doses administered to the adult population (18 years and above).
An additional 2,815,661 are doses administered to those between 12 to below 18 years while 1,761,470 are booster doses.
The total number of vaccines administered in the last 24 hours is 8,271 while the total number of people fully vaccinated over the last 24 hours stand at 3,447.
Proportion of adults fully vaccinated was 36.7%.
The Government is working towards vaccinating a
targeted population of 27,246,033 people.
