Police arrests officer based at Sakutiek Station over defilement

Police in Narok have arrested a police officer based at Sakutiek Police Station over defilement of a minor. 

According to a police report, 50 years old Corporal Anthony Leteipa Nanyukie is suspected to have defiled the 16 years old girl who was in police custody as a child in need of care. 

She together with another 17 years old boy who had been sent to Sakutiek police station from Enesamplai police post awaiting to be taken to Narok Police Station before arraignment in court. 

It is alleged that the officer collected the female juvenile from the police station at 8PM on Saturday and took her to his house then later returned her in the morning at 6AM on Sunday. 

A team of officers led by the Deputy OCS at Narok police station was dispatched to Sakutiek police station, and escorted both the accused person and the victim to Narok Referral Hospital for medical examination. 

The police officer was arrested and put in police custody and will be arraigned in court Monday to face charges of defilement.
