Muslim clerics urge parents to look after their children’s behaviours

Muslim leaders in Narok County have urged parents to monitor activities including radicalization carried out by their children.

Speaking Sunday after observing Eid-Fitr celebrations at the William ole Stadium, the Muslim clerics urged parents to activities which include radicalization and other social vices during their prolonged stay at home.

The Muslim faithful raised concern over possible radicalization of youth to join criminal gangs this need for parents to keep tabs on their kids.

The prayers were led was led by Sheikh Salim Adhow of Darul Quran Mosque Narok County.

 

Sheikh Salim urged Muslims in the country to preach unity amongst Kenyans without discriminating other religions.

He also urged parent to take their responsibility and show their young ones good direction as most of the youth in the country are engaging in crime and to lead honest lives.

His sentiments were echoed by Issa Yarrow an official of Bomet County Government who urged parents not to be allowing their children’s to go for long hours without knowing where they are since most can be recruited as criminals without their knowledge.

 

He also urged parents to take their children to churches and mosques saying children taken to places of worship will grow to be upright humans.

Abdi Shakur Ali Narok Central Assistant County Commissioners thanked Narok residents for embracing peace and cohesion  during Ramadhan saying no insecurity incident was reported during the period.
