Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex
The documentary, 'Behind Closed Doors', has no release date as of yet.

Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming documentary about Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex.

The documentary called "Behind Closed Doors" has not yet received a release date but the streamer says it's due to debut soon.

Prior to the trailer's release, the project was mired in controversy with rumours swirling about its cancellation following the Queen's death. However, in November, Netflix confirmed that the project would go ahead as planned despite its critics.

Ironically, the release also comes at a time when Buckingham Palace is fielding race questions after an aide resigned this week after being allegedly racist to a black guest. The palace has since called the incident "unacceptable and deeply regrettable."

Directed by Liz Garbus, the series will tell Harry and Meghan's story of why they broke from the royal family and their protocol from their own perspective. It is unclear from the trailer how in-depth the couple will go and how much will align with Prince Harry's memoir set to be released in January.

The docuseries will premiere to a global audience on Netflix.
