A man was Monday charged with the publication of false information contrary to Section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act of 2018.
Jimmy Charles Mureithi was presented before Mombasa Law Court Senior Resident Magistrate David Odhiambo where he was accused of publishing false information about Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro.
The accused was arrested on Sunday, April 7th.
The Court directed that the suspect remains in custody for two days after which he will be released on a bond of Ksh 500,000 with one surety of a similar amount.
The case will be mentioned on Thursday, April 11th.
