The Late Chief of Defence Forces General Francis Ogolla

The First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has condoled with the family of the late Francis Ogolla following his demise Thursday afternoon.

Ogolla died on Thursday afternoon following a chopper crash in Sindar area, Elgeyo Marakwet.

In a statement on her social media account, Mama Rachel Ruto sent her message of condolences to his wife, Aieleen Ogolla, and  family saying: “Our prayers and thoughts are with his wife, Aieleen Ogolla, and the family during this difficult time.”

The CDF had left Nairobi Thursday morning onboard the Kenya Air Force Huey Helicopter, to visit troops deployed in the North Rift under Operation Maliza Uhalifu, and to inspect the ongoing school renovations works.

She also mourned the lives of the nine other military personnel and sent a message of comfort to their families.

The military personnel who passed on along General Ogolla are: Brigadier Swale Saidi, Colonel Duncan Keittany, Lieutenant Colonel David Sawe, Major George Benson Magondu, Captain Sora Mohamed, Captain Hillary Litali, Senior Sergeant John Kinyua Mureithi, Sergeant Cliphonce Omondi, and Sergeant Rose Nyawira.

“Psalm 34:18: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” The statement read.
