A Nairobi court has fined Collins Kipleting Ksh50,000 or a seven-month jail term for impersonating Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Appearing before Milimani Law Courts Senior Principal Magistrate Esther Kimilu, Collins Kipleting, 22, pleaded guilty to creating a fake Facebook account.

Collins Kipleting also known as Reng Star was arrested by detectives on December 18 for impersonating Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on a fake Facebook account.

The detectives traced Collins' phone to Kipleting market, where he was playing pool with friends, and convinced him to come with them by pretending they wanted him to perform at a nearby establishment.
