Shazam:Fury Of The Gods

"Shazam: Fury Of the Gods" is scheduled to premiere on Friday in cinemas around the country.

Early screening tickets went on sale late on Wednesday for showings on Thursday but tickets for the official premiere, Friday, can be purchased on Patahapa or Little for showings at a cinema of your choice.

The film is the long-awaited sequel to the 2019 DCEU film "Shazam!" and once again revolves around foster kid Billy Batson (Asher Angel), who gains the ability to transform into a superhero, played by Zachary Levi, every time he says the word Shazam. With the help of his foster siblings-turned-fellow superheroes, Billy fights crime and learns to love his new family.

In the sequel, Billy and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with their adult superhero alter egos when a vengeful trio of ancient gods arrives on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago. The consequences of which lead Shazam and his allies into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of the world.

The film stars Zachary Levi as Shazam  and Asher Angel as Billy. Much of the cast from the first film return for the sequel.

Billy's foster siblings are once again played by Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, and Grace Caroline Currey, while the superhero versions of these first four characters are played by Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Ross Butler, and D. J. Cotrona.

Michelle Borth (Hawaii Five-0), who played the superhero version of Currey's character in the first film, does not appear in the sequel. Instead, Currey plays both versions of her character.

Other returning actors include Djimon Hounsou, Marta Milans and Cooper Andrews.

"Shazam: Fury Of The God's" also introduces new characters played by Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler.
