Head coach Japhet Munala spoke of how tough their opponents were.

“We had to work hard to beat DCI who gave us a run for our money. we won easily in game two  having worked on our services, our reception and blocks. The final will be tough but we are ready to take on Kenya Prisons.”

KCB’s attack was bolstered by the return of opposite attacker Sharon Chepchumba from injury. Chumba, missed the quarterfinal encounter against Kenya Army. She proved instrumental in the win with her deadly spikes that earned her team points.

Munala also lauded Juliana Namutira, youngster Deborah Jesang, setter Esther Mutinda and middle blockers Belinda Barasa and Edith Wisa who brought their A-game to the table when the team needed it the most.

“It is a proud moment for me as a captain to lead my team to the finals of the Kenya Volleyball Federation league – a grueling competition that is exhausting and demanding. I appreciate all my teammates for their contributions both on and off the court. We now have a daunting task to prepare for the final and win it,” reckoned captain Edith Wisa.
