Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has asked for immediate action to improve drainage and reconstruct the failed section at Katani centre.
Speaking when he inspected the progress of road projects in Syokimau and Katani within Machakos county, KURA Director General Eng. Silas Kinoti observed the challenges faced by residents and contractors during the heavy rainy season currently being experienced.
The DG also noted with concern on the overloading by transporters which has destroyed sections of Quarry Road.
He lauded efforts made by the Resident Association to protect road asset and promised to support.
