King Mohammed VI of Morocco strongly condemned an assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump while on a campaign trail yesterday.

In this message, His Majesty the King said that he was “shocked and deeply saddened by yesterday’s appalling assassination attempt at the campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.”

The sovereign said he was relieved to learn that “you are safe,” while expressing his sympathy and solidarity following this heinous attack.

In this message, His Majesty the King strongly condemns political violence and wishes Trump “a speedy recovery so that you may continue to serve your great nation.”

“My thoughts and prayers are with you, Mr. President, your family, and the innocent victims of this deplorable act,” the message concludes.

Trump is vying for the presidency on a Republican party ticket against the incumbent Joe Biden of the Democratic Party in the general election set for November 5th, this year being the 60th quadrennial presidential election.

The Pennsylvania shooting marks another biggest security crisis in the USA since former president Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981 by a stalker of actor Jodie Foster.
