Kenya to face Zimbabwe in Africa Rugby Cup quarters

The Kenya  Morans  will face Zimbabwe Sunday  in the quarter finals of the second leg of the Rugby Africa Cup at the Labourdonnais Sports Club in Mauritius.

The team finished second in Pool B after winning two matches and losing one.

The Morans defeated Zambia 26-7 in their first group B match, then overran Algeria 47-0 before they  narrowly lost their final group match 19-24 to Madagascar.

In other group B matches, Zambia beat Algeria 33-0 while Madagascar thrashed Algeria 33-7. Madagascar trounced Zambia 40-5.

The best two teams will qualify for next season’s HSBC Challenger series.

 

Kenya and South Africa are not eligible for the promotion since they already secured their slots in the elite sevens world circuit.

The two day event ends tomorrow at the Labourdonnais Sports Club in Mauritius.
