Kenya will field a men’s floorball team at this year’s Special Olympics World Winter Games scheduled 7th-16th March in Turin, Italy.
The Special Olympics Kenya,SOK, was granted the slot through the Special Olympics International Quota allocation Rules.
‘’As an organization we embarked on a robust grassroot floorball discipline talent identification, training and competitive play that culminated in the National Floorball Trials at Visa Oshwal School Nairobi 30th and 31st August 2024’’,statement from Special Olympics Kenya read.
The squad comprises of a playing unit of 8 and two technical bench members and has been intensifying its preparations for the games by training at the University of Nairobi grounds.
The team is expected to depart for the championship next week Thursday.
