The Kenya women’s Under 17 soccer team,Junior Starlets,has been drawn in pool C in the forthcoming FIFA Under 17 women’s World Cup scheduled October 16th-November 3rd.
Kenya will play England,North Korea and Mexico in pool C, revealed on Sunday following the draw of the tournament in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Kenya coached by Mildred Cheche will have to dif deeper to get past the group stage which includes former winners North Korea,2018 runners up Mexico.
The other two of the three African teams at the tournament Nigeria and Zambia also learnt of their opponents.
Third place finishers at the tournaments previous edition Nigeria are in pool A alongside hosts Dominican Republic,Ecuador and New Zealand.
Zambia will face Poland,Brazil and Japan. Reigning world champions Spain have been placed in Group B with USA, Korea Republic and Colombia.
Kenya is making a debut at the FIFA World Cup a ticket they clinched after beating Burundi 5-0 on aggregate in their final round of qualifiers.
