Kenya Chinese youth association -KYCA has signed a partnership aimed at creating opportunities in the imports and exports chain between the two countries.
Under the partnership Kenyan traders will export fruits and tea to the city of Shaoyang in China, as well as importing beauty products, electronics and automotive spare parts with a target of establishing a win win cooperation for the two countries.
The partnership which was signed after a 1 economic and trading forum in Nairobi that brought together over 15 local entrepreneurs and a delegation from Shaoyong Municipality among them government officials and entrepreneurs.
In a move to ease movement products from China to Kenya Shaoyang has set up a warehouse along Mombasa road to support local business specializing in importation of goods.
According to statistics Shaoyang has been exporting 28.8 % of its goods to Africa majorly in South Africa and Tanzania before venturing to Kenyan market in 2010.
